Проект “re:start democratic discourse” спрямований на підвищення рівня медіаграмотності у південних та східних регіонах України, стартував у червні 2018 року (його тривалість – 6 місяців).
Його реалізовує ГО “Інститут розвитку регіональної преси” в партнерстві з Європейським центром свободи преси та ЗМІ (ECPMF), м. Лейпциг, за підтримки Міністерства закордонних справ Німеччини.
Мета проекту: зміцнення демократичного суспільства та створення ефективної довгострокової співпраці та комунікації між українським та німецьким медіа-секторами.
Окремі кроки проекту спрямовані на підтримку професіоналізму журналістів, блогерів та громадянських журналістів, а також медіаграмотності споживачів, щоб зробити широкий доступ громадськості до високоякісної журналістики. Громадянське суспільство повинно вміти розуміти, аналізувати та ставити під сумнів медіа продукт та його соціальний ефект.
Перш за все, частини проекту будуть виконуватися в конкретних регіонах, спрямованих на місцеве населення та працівників ЗМІ: у Запоріжжі, Південному регіоні України, що межує з Кримом та східною частиною країни, оскільки ці регіони є особливо вразливими до дезінформації та пропаганди.
Ключові компоненти проекту:
1) Кампанія в соціальних мережах для підвищення обізнаності споживачів інформації та свободи засобів масової інформації, плюралізму і демократії. Сторінка кампанії у Фейсбуці По той бік новин розпочала роботу на початку серпня та протягом перших двох тижнів зібрала близько 400 прихильників.
2) Серія навчальних заходів з медіаграмотності учнів та студентів, спрямованих на те. щоб вони могли захищати себе від “підроблених новин”, ненависті та дезінформації;
3) Серія тренінгів та стажувань на регіональному рівні для українських місцевих журналістів, блогерів та громадянських журналістів з метою підвищення їх професійного рівня. Школи журналістики для професійних медійників та для блогерів відбулися у Бердянську 11-18 серпня 2018 року. У них взяли участь 16 журналістів та 15 блогерів із Запорізької, Дніпропетровської та Донецької областей.
Програма буде реалізовуватись протягом червня-грудня 2018 року.
